Abstract
This paper explains the importance of modern engineers’ integration in project teams and project management. By introducing the example of the company which operates in the field of oil and gas exploration and exploitation we explain the role of engineers within such an industrial system. The emphasis is given on the oil and gas drilling preparation process, which represents a large and expensive project.
